Introduction

The Amazon has the world’s biggest freshwater reservation. The region has several rivers that thrill for its extension and water volume. The Amazon rainforest has the most amazing biodiversity on the planet and captivates visitors with its fauna and flora. You can observe wild animals in their natural habitat and see thousands of bird and fish species. There are also other 300 animal species.

You will be on board the first green ship in the Amazon with 100% Solar power electricity & state-of-the-art water treatment. A true feat of green engineering to guarantee that our ecological footprint is kept to the minimum. There is no better way to enjoy this tour that was designed to intensely explore the mysteries and natural wonders of the heart of the Amazon. 

Leaving Manaus and going up the Rio Negro, we will explore countless natural attractions, many of them untouched. It includes visiting local indigenous communities and also the second largest river archipelago in the world – Anavilhanas. We will enjoy the immensity of the forest, meeting the waters of the Rio Negro, and forming isolated beaches of rare beauty.

We will recreate the steps of explorer Wallace and his collaboration with Charles Darwin on the theory of natural evolution in Rio Negro. Visit the mystical Jaú National Park, which protects one of the largest extensions of continuous humid tropical forests in the world. An itinerary specially created as a journey of knowledge through the natural history of the Amazon.

Suggested itinerary

DAY 1 - Manaus - Anavilhanas Archipelago (-, L, D)

After breakfast, around 8am our representative will meet you at your hotel reception for transfer to the Pier. Check-in for passenger accommodation, welcome drinks and appetizers on board. Beginning of the navigation on the Rio Negro, we will go up the river towards the Anavilhanas Archipelago. During the Navigation we will make a stop to visit the Seringal Museum for immersion in the history of the peak of the rubber age. Lunch on board and departure by boat in the region of three mouths inside the Archipelago to contemplate the sunset. Return to the boat. Appetizers and dinner on board.

DAY 2 - Anavilhanas Archipelago (B, L, D)

Departure at 5:30am to observe birds and contemplate the dawn – on the return breakfast will be served. Navigation inside the archipelago of Anavilhanas, where we will be able to observe several lakes and channels (it is possible to stop for bathing in the Rio Negro). We will go out for a walk with a group of experts in jungle survival training where we will teach basic jungle survival instructions with displays of medicinal plants, orientation, obtaining water and fire, construction of traps and improvised shelters and climbing trees with venom. Lunch on board – Arrival at the end of the day in the region of Gruta do Madada. Departure for a water trail in a boat for night observation. Return to the boat. Dinner on board.

DAY 3 - Anavilhanas Archipelago - Miritituba (B, L, D)

Breakfast on board. Departure for a trail to the Madada’s Cave, explanation of medicinal plants, bird watching and Amazonian flora (approximately 3h round trip) – return for lunch on board and navigation to the Miritituba Region.

DAY 4 - Miritituba - Jaú National Park (B, L, D)

Breakfast on board. Arrival at Jaú National Park in the morning for instruction and authorization to enter the Jaú NP. Tour of recognition of the park and small trail to meet the largest tree in the Amazon, Sumaúma. Lunch on board. Departure for overnight in the jungle at Igarapé Preto (Optional) – Water tour to observe birds and animals inside the park and sunset. Return for happy hour and dinner on board.

DAY 5 - Jau National Park (B, L, D)

Breakfast on board – and departure to the Carabinani rapids, we will walk along the water course in a boat to know and appreciate the beauties of the region. Along the rivers Jaú and Carabinani, we will be able to observe flocks of macaws and parrots flying over the forest of igapós. In the calmest part, flowered orchids reflect their delicate shape in the dark waters. Extensive beaches of light sand form in the Negro River. Lunch will be prepared on the ember somewhere along the river. Dinner on board.

DAY 6 - Jau National Park - Acajatuba (B, L, D)

Breakfast on board. Morning kayak tour. Lunch on board. In the afternoon we will visit the ruins of old Airão, the historic city that was destroyed entirely by a plague of ants. Dinner on board. Navigation to Acajatuba region. Luau on a beach.

DAY 7 - Acajatuba - Manaus (B, L, -)

Breakfast. Interaction with porpoises. Lunch. Return navigation to Manaus with arrival at 1pm. Check-out and transfer to the hotel or transfer to the airport.
