Welcome to the captivating realm of the Iguaçu Falls, one of South America’s most iconic destinations. This beauty is nestled in The Iguaçu National Park, consisting of two national parks: Foz de Iguaçu (Brazil) and Puerto Iguazu (Argentina). We’ll be visiting the Brazilian side, which was declared a National Park in 1939, and spans approximately 180,000 hectares (three times more than the Argentinian side). A few decades (and millions of visitors fascinated by the landscape and the sound of this natural attraction) later, UNESCO declared the Iguaçu Falls a World Heritage Site in 1984 and reaffirmed it as Exceptional Universal Value (their culture and nature are so vital that their conservation should be of worldwide interest) in 2013.
This place is also home to many species of animals and flora that create an essential natural ecosystem connected to all of Latin America. This tour is especially enchanting because it takes place before the park opens to outside visitors. Instead, a guide will introduce us to fascinating details about the park’s history and biodiversity. Discover why you feel exhilarated being near a waterfall during a guided experience with a wellness guide for immersion in natural therapy!
Arrival in Foz do Iguaçu. We are meeting the guide at the airport and transfer to the hotel. We are now at Hotel das Cataratas – South America’s first and only Forbes Five-Star hotel, nestled in the heart of the Iguaçu National Park! Its unique location makes the perfect base for exploration, allowing us to venture into the park before the crowds arrive. Iguaçu Falls is one of the most important destinations in Argentina, Brazil, and South America. The National Park spans two nations, with one part in Foz de Iguaçu (Brazil) and the other in Puerto Iguazu (Argentina). Our adventure begins on the Brazilian side, declared a National Park in 1939, covering approximately 180,000 hectares – three times the size of its Argentine counterpart.
Full days dedicated to explore this fantastic hotel and discovering fascinating details about the park’s history and biodiversity. After millions of visitors marveled at this extraordinary landscape and its thundering symphony, UNESCO gave it the prestigious title of World Heritage Site in 1984. In 2013, it was reaffirmed as an Exceptional Universal Value, emphasizing its profound significance to the world’s culture and nature.
